My Experience as a Co-op Student

I began my time at Jasmine Daya & Co. when I was in grade eleven through a co-op program with the Bishop Strachan School. As a high school student, I was not familiar with personal injury law. However, all the staff members were very welcoming and always willing to help me with my many questions. It was a very impactful experience and I am extremely grateful for what I was able to learn at such a young age. Whether I was drafting correspondence, performing research, attending at a mediation or going to court to observe, I was able to learn what happens behind the scenes as well as the amount of work that is required for each case.

I returned to Jasmine Daya & Co. this summer and the experience that I have acquired has been invaluable once again. I found that the firm has a very strong work ethic and all members pride themselves in working as a team on cases. I have formed great relationships with staff members and I was treated as a regular team member. This positive work experience has motivated me to pursue a career in the legal profession. I begin university in the fall.
