John received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019. Before beginning law school, John earned a Bachelor of Arts High Distinction with a double major in Political Science and Criminology from the University of Toronto.

During law school, John volunteered as a caseworker for Osgoode’s Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP), where he worked on files in the criminal law division. CLASP is a student-run legal aid clinic that provides free legal advice and representation to members of marginalized communities in the City of Toronto.  John also developed a passion for advocacy and became very involved in mooting. In his third year of law school, John represented Osgoode in the International Oxford Price Law Moot, winning the regional rounds in New York City against law schools from North and South America and subsequently advancing to the final rounds held at the University of Oxford in England.

Prior to joining the firm, John worked at the office of the Crown Attorney in Scarborough where he assisted with drafting memoranda, Charter responses and had the opportunity to research and present evidence for a Coroner’s Inquest.  He also assisted various Crown Attorneys in the prosecution of criminal offences.

Outside of the office, John loves to travel and is an avid soccer fan and supporter of Arsenal FC.
